On 13/11/17 the senior boys soccer team played Desmond College (Newcastle West). Desmond college took an early lead midway through the first half. Spanish Point quickly levelled with a Caoilfhionn O'Dea penalty. Desmond College took the lead again after a mix up in the Spanish point defence and held out to win the game. The final score was 2-1.
