Supervised Study

The School offers supervised study on week days after school, on Saturdays and Sundays during the Mid-Term, Christmas,

and Easter breaks and during State Examinations.

Supervised study is an excellent resource available to committed students. It is an opportunity for them to get

homework/study done without distractions. It also helps them to adapt to studying in silence, which is vital in preparing for

state exams.

Evening Study Hours are from 3.55pm – 5.55pm

Saturday and Sunday Study Hours are from 9am – 3pm

Mid-Term, Easter and Christmas Study Hours are from 9am – 3pm

Study Hours during State Exams is as requested

Study Rules

  • Students must be in the study centre and seated by 3.55pm or when study starts.
  • Students must ensure to bring books, copies and stationery into study before it commences. No student will be allowed
  • to go out for these items once study has started.
  • Complete silence, punctuality and a commitment to work is insisted upon.
  • No student is to move around the study centre – e.g. if a student needs assistance please put up your hand.
  • No student will be allowed to leave the study centre early unless the Parent/Guardian comes to the centre to collect
  • the student.
  • Students must at all times respect and take instruction from the supervisor. If a student is giving cheek or being
  • disruptive then the supervisor will refer the student to the school Principal.
  • The students homework journal is stamped each evening to confirm attendance
  • Mobile phones/Ipods are not allowed into the study centre. If a student is found with a mobile phone/Ipod it will be
  • confiscated and will only be returned to a parent/guardian.
  • Students are not permitted to bring food and drink into study, students must eat in the Atrium.
  • Students who are persistently late will be asked to leave study for the remainder of the term, without a refund.
  • Any student who speaks in study for whatever reason will be cautioned and any student who is persistently talking will
  • be asked to leave without a refund for the term.
  • Students who have completed all written work before the end of study must sit quietly and revise for the remainder.
